TIRED
WHY AND WHAT - AND HOW TO RENEW

tba - being worked on... (See, below, the checklists of causes and remedies...)

WHAT IS "TIRED"?

Tired is a "feeling" related to certain conditions of the body.  These conditions can be and are very different at different times, as we have generalized about this feeling.

"I don't feel like it" can mean "I don't think I have the energy for it" (which is NOT true) and/or "it will take too much effort and be unpleasant".  The truth is that we have in our bodies about enough energy to run 26 marathons - we just may not be accessing it or feeling it, but we certainly have got the energy.  Of course, the energy could be being diverted by the body for repair and recovery to a homeostatic balance.

"It is interesting to note that the energy reserve in your body is far greater than the energy it would take to run two marathons.  It is an illusion to think that you will run out of energy, unless you haven't eaten for a week or so - but even then you'll still have a large energy reserve."

Your body, of course, seeks to prioritize doing what it takes to survive, so if glucose and energy supply seems low, it will seek to preserve the energy and it will start to shut it down - then you will feel tired.  However, this is most often a false signal as you actually have considerable energy left.  (And/or the evolved strategy from caveman days may not be the strategy to obey the command of.)

NOTICE WHAT CAUSED THE OPPOSITE!

Just think of those times when you were super-tired and all of a sudden you were no longer tired and you were energized by something that occurred (or a thought of something potentially occuring).

You are probably misreading the signals - which means you can employ the strategies recommended below and in the Anti-Exhaustion Checklist (link to it from Exhaustion .).

THE ENERGY SOURCES

Energy is produced from:

   Oxygen - Breathe!
Glucose and nutrient use - Eat!  See below.
Movement, begetting flow and energy (often you'll find that you really do not need
to eat) - This will cause breathing and will activate glucose creation!

THE CHECKLIST OF CAUSES

__ Not enough sleep?
__ Genuinely need a nap?
__ Body lethargic?  Exercise
__ Body posture?
__ Sufficient fuel?
__ Hurried?  Feeling behind?  Can't see the end point, feels like will work forever and not
   get what I want.
__ I'm not succeeding
__ I am being grimly determined, gritting teeth...stress, doing what is boring, pushing too
hard, gotta be more exciting, rewarding
__ Working too long without renewal, too many hours
__ Disorganized and not completing things
__ What am I telling myself is not good enough?

CHECKLIST OF REMEDIES (Use also the Anti-Exhaustion Checklist in Exhaustion.

__ Hydration!  Lots of it
__ Staighten up your posture, sit up or stand straight
__ Deep breathing and holding breath in between
__ Speeding up breathing can help
__ Jump up and down or rotate your arms like a windmill
__ Stretch, do yoga
__ Exercise, mild at first, more as you gain energy (biggest parts of body moving)
__ Eat a piece of fruit and a small portion of protein (slices of apple with almond butter spread)
__ A jolt of caffeine
__ Rest, nap
__ Cold shower
__ Go outside into the cold
