THE STUPIDITY FORMULA

Sense problem.

Use strategy that doesn't work.

Ignore feedback.

Keep repeating what doesn't work.


THE THOUGHTLESS CYCLE

The primitive cycle, which I can't believe people do, is to "feel uncomfortable, seek to numb/escape."  It doesn't work, never has, and it is not as designed by evolution! 

Incredibly poorly thought out and a loser strategy. 


RELIEVE ANXIETY/DISCOMFORT (FEEL LESS BADLY)

With high glucose instant solutions (sugar drops soon afterward, eat more, huge calories with no nutritional benefit.  (Instead, eat apple, with nut butter (almond) or do Instant Energy routine or breathing to feel better - or see list near the bottom.)

If you're actually hungry, of course, eat, but just a little. (Feel hunger in space two handwidths down from chin and in throat; otherwise, it is something else.) 

Oh, and when you're tired and feeling out of sorts, drink alot of water (so you're no longer dehydrated!). 

Medicating, numbing

Food, alcohol, drugs - These just upset the systems, resulting in addictive cycles that cause more and more problems and more of not feeling good. 


THE VAGUENESS, LACK OF CLARITY PROBLEM

"Feeling better" is a bit of a super vague phrase.  As in all higher existence strategies, the vagueness must be removed by clearly defining what is happening.  All of your dysfunctions that cause problems are, once you learn this, from your "vague" thinking.

Feeling better, relief, physical...

desperate for instant relief, regardless - really dumb approach, as, within minutes, you're guaranteed to not feel so good and/or to cause long term suffering



THE WORKABLE SOLUTIONS FOR "FEELING BETTER"

Body movement 
Deep breathing 
Meditation or clearing your mind 
Eliminate what you feel bad about:  all false beliefs that create feeling bad.
Speaking from your higher brain with correcting, comforting, or coping statements (that are well rehearsed.
Of course, adequate nutritious foods
Rest (nap, adequate sleep, deep relaxation)
Grounding/Reminder strategies:  Why Life Is Good, reviewing gratitudes, pleasant memories and/or visualizations, seeing beauty, music 4 by 4 beat or beautiful, and...

THE BIG OBJECTION: HELPLESSNESS IN THE FACE OF THE POWERFUL MONSTER

"But I am a helpless victim of my feelings - and you are being crude and callous about my feelings and my vulnerabilities."

No, I am not being inconsiderate about your feelings.  After all, why do you think I even bother writing this stuff?  I understand and accept your feelings as being a natural byproduct of your thinking (of course).

I write because I am concerned about people feeling bad and I want them to learn to feel the other side or at least not feel the bad side.

What I know for sure is that if we want to not feel bad and/or feel better more of the time, we need to stop doing the strategies that don't work (cause harm or consequences in a short while and/or in the long term). 




My approach to this, though it could sound otherwise, is through caring and operating from the truth of No Fault. which you should understand as a basis for all of your life.
