Other than extreme psychological health problems, problems in relationships can definitely be solved and things can definitely be worked out. The crucial ingredient is willingness. If one partner "stonewalls" or doesn't cooperate fully, then things become geometically and dramatically harder to manage.
Those relationships that have willingness and cooperation, with some good guidance, have a 95% chance of being happy. Without guidance and/or without willingness and cooperation, the odds are the normal odds for marriages being happy: 7% (a real tragedy!). Yes, 50+% end in divorce, so that the assessment of that portion is clear. However, less than 50% of those married are happy (the estimates vary), but a knowledgeable relationship counseling couple purport that of all relationships only 7% are happy. Dismal odds. But those odds reflect ignorance, non-direction, and often unwillingness. If we "get smart" and apply ourselves, with good guidance, if we're basically psychologically healthy, then are odds are excellent!!!!!!
